Lying only 3 degrees south of the equator and at an altitude of 5895 metres above sea level, the great snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest and the world's tallest freestanding mountain.

The mountain has three major volcanic centers: Shira (4160m) in the west; Mawenzi (5280m) in the east and Kibo (5895m) in the middle.

The mountain also has beautiful vegetation and has plenty of wildlife. Animals that can be spotted include elephant, buffalo, eland and leopard.
